Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY) has made a $200,000 donation to help support both immediate and long-term efforts in response to the January 12 earthquake in the Republic of Haiti.
MINNEAPOLIS, August 6, 2009 – Best Buy Co., Inc. today announced the results of the second quarter @15 Change Exchange, which gives teens the chance to direct $1 million to nonprofits in 2009 by earning points for participating in activities on www.at15.com. The second round of the Change Exchange ended July 30, 2009, with more than 135,000 visits to the site over three months. A total of 550 teen members of www.at15.com allocated their points among four featured nonprofit partners.
MINNEAPOLIS, July 2, 2009 – Best Buy Co., Inc. celebrates today as philanthropic partner Genesys Works is recognized by President Barack Obama as one of the preeminent nonprofit organizations working to improve communities across the United States. President Obama’s identification of Genesys Works came as a result of the newly created White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation, formally announced in a media conference yesterday afternoon. Through the new White House program, a $50 million Social Innovation Fund was also established to expand the outreach of promising non-profit programs like Genesys Works throughout the country.

Based on these point allocations, each nonprofit receives a share of $250,000 from the @15 Fund.
Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY) now offers its electronics recycling program at all of its 1,006 stores nationwide. Consumers can bring up to two (2) units per day, per household, for recycling at any U.S. Best Buy store.

The program will expand sometime in fiscal 2010 to Puerto Rico stores.
