Best Buy Canada Acknowledges Blu-ray as winner for High-Definition Player Format

Following an announcement made earlier today by Toshiba, Best Buy Canada will shift its focus to promote the Blu-ray format to its customers for their high definition format choice.
Best Buy Canada currently carries a vast selection of Blu-ray hardware and software products and will continue to expand that assortment as new hardware and software titles become available.
Best Buy will support its customers who have purchased HD-DVD players by continuing to offer HD movie titles as part of its current product assortment, while consumer demand exists.
Over the coming months, Best Buy Canada will transition out of the HD-DVD player business.
When:
Beginning early March, Best Buy Canada will prominently showcase Blu-ray hardware and software products in its stores and online at BestBuy.ca. Best Buy’s usual return policy will apply for previously purchased HD-DVD products.
Why:
Moving forward, Best Buy Canada believes that providing consumers with clarity will allow for a more seamless inclusion of this technology into the home theatre suite.
