A commitment of @15™ is to create opportunities to empower youth. That's why we've created the @15 Fund - a designated fund within the Best Buy Children's Foundation advised by teens.
Best Buy Teach Awards
At Best Buy we believe technology can excite and engage students, creating a more valuable educational experience. We also believe that the students themselves should tell us what technology they need in the classroom to make that experience the best it can be. That's why moving forward students have the power to decide the winning schools in the new Teach@15 Awards.
Best Buy Scholarship
Through our focus on teens, called @15, Best Buy provides opportunities to help teens thrive. The @15 Best Buy Scholarship Program will help students prepare for a brighter future by helping to fund their college education. Since 1999, Best Buy scholarship program has awarded nearly $14.5 million in scholarships to more than 11,000 students. In 2010, Best Buy will reward 1,000 students for their academic achievements, volunteer efforts and work experience with scholarships of $1,000 each. The 2010 winners will be announced in May 2010.
Best Buy Local Donations
Recognizing that each community is unique, Best Buy supports several programs that allow our employees to decide how to support local nonprofits: Community Grants, Store Donations and TagTeam Awards for volunteerism.
